Alchemy Hour
The period of time when a surfer enjoys the best a swell has to offer. The result is a seemingly magical power or process has transmuted the surfer and touched his soul.
FOG - Frickin’ Old Guy
Exclamation of Cape Cod Grommets when they see old school surfers paddling out on their longboards to take a share of the waves.
Helm Buff
Someone who surfs so bad, even after many years of trying, but still continues to be motivated just from the pure stoke of being out there.
Hodad
A beginner or non-surfer. One that has yet to master the art of surfing. Most surfers are hodad’s to some degree.
Conductor
Mythical being that is said to control the weather and conduct waves with a baton made of human bone. Often said to one having endured a bad wipeout and subsequent hold down.
